Features
Self-discharging static removers eliminate static electricity by ion caused by corona discharge from grounded needle electrode to generate ions making use of electrostatic energy of charged objects. This means that their electrostatic discharge efficiency depends on their ion generating capacity and the electric potential of the charged objects. It also explains why it is difficult for the self-discharging static removers to cause corona discharge in objects charged at less than 3,000 V. But our innovative product, Thunderon® Tape Brush can do this.
- The thinnest conductive layer
The conductive layer of Thunderon® Tape Brush as thin as 0.8 Å
The approximately 15µm diameter of the conductive fiber used as its electrode may suggest that Thunderon® works less well than other materials-but the thickness of the conductive material, which is very important point of eliminating function, is as thin as 0.8 whose conductive layer crystallizes on the surface of the fiber, the thinnest conductive layer among current practical self-discharging static removers.
- High conductivity
Resistivity of the conductive material: 1×10-2 cm
Though the resistivity of Thunderon® fiber is 1×102 /cm, which is slightly higher than stainless or carbon fiber, the resistivity of conductive material Thunderon® is excellent value, 10-2 cm is achieved by the conductive material. (Surface resistivity: 1.5×102 to 3.0×102 /square inch)
- Low capacitance
Low break-down voltage
The ultrathin conductive layer and excellent conductivity makes Thunderon® Tape Brush a static remover of significantly low capacitance. It means that even though charged objects voltage is low, Cactus's starts to generate ions early and it can easily and quickly eliminate static electricity.
