Corona Cord^®

Corona Cord^® is thin, flexible string or rope of micro-conductive Thunderon^®. Corona Cord^® fibers can make thousands of conductive points causing ionization and grounding of static charge. The cord diameter for all three parts is ø2.2mm ± 0.1mm with a resistance shape ≤10⁴/10cm for the cord.

The Anti-Static FlexCord™ is constructed of highly conductive Thunderon^® fibers. The Anti-Static FlexCord utilizes thousands of conductive micro points to create an ionizing field that eliminates static charges from moving surfaces.

The Anti-Static FlexCord will stretch to 100% its length allowing for precise positioning and avoiding snags with materials or objects that may accidentally come in contact with the cord. Strong and lightweight, the Anti-Static FlexCord will not oxidize and become less conductive, providing a long service life. It is a self-energizing static eliminator which does not spark and can be used in hazardous locations. The Ant-Static FlexCord should be placed across the surface to be neutralized and grounded to bare metal on the machine. It can be placed on either side of the affected surface in contact with or near the surface.

Corona Cord^® is ideal for film, printing, paper, rewinding, labels, extruding, textile, conveyors, laminating, packaging, plastic, gravure, web, etc. Typical applications include plastic, paper, textile webs, digital printers, paper folders, printing presses, conveyors, extruding, sheeting, slitting, winding, coating, carding, slashing, warping, computers, and duplicators.
